Our 3DTi machetes are now available with a DLC-coated blade (diamond-like carbon). Due to the anthracite-black, the blade not only has a particularly high-quality appearance, but is also extremely robust against scratches and has increased corrosion resistance. The excellent gliding properties reduce the friction between the blade and the material to be cut, which in turn requires less effort when cutting. Our blades are ground before coating so that the DLC coating has a little shiny appearance - we are absolutely thrilled with the quality! Our partner for DLC coatings (AxynTeC GmbH) has developed a special process for blades in which particularly low temperatures are maintained. For quality assurance, the hardness is tested before and after coating. In this way, we guarantee that the tempering temperature is not exceeded during the process and that the hardness remains unchanged. In our experience, this is unfortunately not the rule with many DLC coatings on the market. Please order this modification together with the 3DTi machete of your choice. Due to high demand, we have decided to add an unlimited availability version of Otto's Bulletproof Machete to the program. The blade is made of the Swedish knife steel Sandvik 12C27. Due to its balanced properties, this offers the best conditions for a bushcraft machete with good corrosion resistance as well as high toughness and durability. With the bare blade, this machete is very similar to Otto's prototypes in preparation for the 7 vs. Wild series. The only difference from the 7 vs. Wild machete is a different blade steel and the lack of DLC coating.
